Our Chantilly Rose Exquisite Weddings brand launched with a bang, thanks to the exceptional celebration that was the Rowe Wedding. After many months of meticulous planning, hunting down the perfect embellishments and endless hours of work by over 30 hand-selected vendors, the special day finally arrived for Joe & Vanessa and what a day it was.
Peterson House was the perfect setting for the 1920s inspired production, with the sun beaming down after a tense week of less-than-ideal weather predictions. Where to even start on this incredible wedding! Our team was armed with our 26-page runsheet and dedicated to ensuring every one of the 130+ action items on it were done perfectly, making it the day Joe & Vanessa had dreamt of for so long.
The chapel at Peterson House had been completely transformed with specially sourced clear acrylic ghost chairs, next-level florals from Hunter Valley Bouquets and gorgeous styling from Harbourside Decorators. Arriving in style, Joe and Vanessa travelled separately with their nearest and dearest in vintage Rolls Royces thanks to EVW Cars.
Joe was dressed to the nines in a custom-tailored suit from Institchu. Vanessa opted for the incredible “Miriam” gown designed and carefully crafted by George Elsissa as part of his “White Collection” 2020 Spring/Summer Range. Of course, no couture gown would be complete without a pair of delicate pastel blue heels from Jimmy Choo, finished with crystal embellishments on the toes. Vanessa absolutely glowed with hair and makeup fit for the red carpet thanks to Tanya Artistry. Joe and Vanessa’s attire and accessories were beautifully arranged and styled in their rooms at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley by the team at Let Life Sparkle Events.
Duke Music set the mood for the ceremony and soon it was time for Vanessa to walk down the pristine white aisle lined in dozens of Love & Protect candles to marry the love of her life, their union officiated by the fantastic Deacon Lawrence Caelli of Hunter Catholic Diocese. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows leaving barely a dry eye in the chapel, framed beautifully under a gorgeous clear acrylic arbour dripping with elegant white florals.
We love what we do and always go above and beyond the call of duty for our couples. Whether that means hand vacuuming thousands of tiny pieces of confetti after the ceremony to ensure Mr & Mrs Rowe got the one-in-a-lifetime shot of walking down the aisle as husband and wife as their guests showered them in confetti – or polishing their custom monogrammed white dancefloor from Dancetime! We believe that every detail must be perfect for our couples and if that means being on our hands and knees polishing the floor, that’s what we’ll do.
While the newlyweds disappeared to Hunter Valley Gardens to capture their first photos together as husband and wife, guests enjoyed delicious gelato from Mr Goaty Gelato and more soulful tunes from Duke Music. That evening in the stunning marquee at Peterson House, guests were treated to a 1920s / Great Gatsby inspired evening that would have blown away Mr Gatsby himself. The Chantilly Rose team spent countless hours discussing, planning and designing the reception styling with the Rowes, the collaborative vision brought to life with décor and styling items sourced from Harbourside Decorators, Simply Seated, Love & Protect, Ariarper Vintage Co., Love Glows, Eventful Bartending, Dancetime Hire Services and Hunter Valley Bouquets. Every detail was fit for the history books – from the champagne tower to the rose gold cutlery, to the dusty pink velvet thrones and the architectural feat that was the wedding cake. Designed by Joe himself, the towering clear acrylic structure was filled with flowers and layered in decadent cake from the incredibly talented Dragonfly Cakes. Something certainly never seen before!
Vanessa tragically lost her Mum only months before the wedding, but it was undeniable that she was there in spirit partying the night away on the dancefloor, which everyone mentioned in their speeches. She would have been so incredibly proud of Vanessa and her new husband, looking every bit the movie star (complete with several designer shoe changes throughout the night).
An extra-ordinary wedding wouldn’t have been complete without an extra-ordinary photobooth. Peek A Boo absolutely delivered with their 360 Booth – a state of the art podium where the camera twirls around the outside, capturing a 360-degree GIF! Giant light up ‘LOVE’ letters were strategically placed around the outside, so they were captured in each one. A truly special moment was when Joe & Vanessa took to the podium with their guests surrounding the outside, all captured in the background. On a night full of incredible details, it’s hard to pick highlights to mention in a blog, but one that simply can’t be passed over was when the custom monogrammed white acrylic dancefloor had its centre stage moment – the first dance. Joe & Vanessa were a picture of love and affection as the lovers danced together as husband and wife. There were fireworks between them and then fireworks in the sky from Bring the Noise which Chantilly Rose coordinated perfectly to light up the sky as the couple walked outside after their dance, a timeless and romantic moment not soon forgotten. Everyone partied the night away to a 6-piece band, a night we know no one will forget any time soon.
Every stunning moment and detail were captured by the exceptionally talented teams at Popcorn Photography and Design Patrol Videography, ensuring Mr & Mrs Rowe can cherish every moment for the rest of their lives together.
It was an honour to help Mr & Mrs Rowe tie the knot, especially as our inaugural Chantilly Rose couple. We loved every second of the planning, styling and coordination process with Joe and Vanessa – they will always hold a special place in our hearts. We wish them all the happiness in the world and can’t wait to help them celebrate many milestones to come (we’re waiting for the baby shower – hint hint!!)
