That moment sparked a deep connection, leading to eight wonderful years together. Their love story reached a pivotal …

On the beautiful winter day of 18th June 2022, Megan and Matt exchanged vows at the Holy Cross Parish in Kincumber, followed by a stunning reception at Bells at Killcare. The day was filled with love, joy, and a lot of emotions. Megan was shaking with nerves before walking down the aisle, but her furry friend Dizzy came to her rescue. One of our favourite parts of our job is hearing couples vision for their big day – Amber and Shannon’s brief matched their personalities perfectly. Vibrant, colourful and full of joy! Everything was a rainbow of colours, from the bridesmaids dresses to the bouquet, the table decorations to the tiers on the cakes. This bright and happy colour scheme set the tone for the entire wedding. Amber was so overjoyed throughout the day, she had the joy spilling from her …
Melissa and Murray’s big day was originally postponed by covid, it then faced rain, road closures and flash flooding all before they got to say “I do”. Despite challenges, the day was incredible, and nothing stopped this couple from beaming all day, taking every road bump in their stride. When Mel and Murray first met, they clicked instantly. The pair bonded over their love for hiking and the outdoors. When we met with them we loved their vision for an elegant …
Meet Sara and Michael (aka Watto). When these two love birds first met, Sara was drawn to Michael’s sense of humour, and we can see why. Watto takes the title of the funniest groom we’ve ever met! This beautiful, fun-loving couple were absolutely beaming throughout the entire day. Throughout the big day, you could feel how loved this couple are by their friends and family, with family playing a big part in the day. Their beautiful kids, River, Lily and …
Sarah and Anne met 5 years ago and are the happiest they’ve ever been with each other. They both share a love for the beach and so it made sense that they celebrated their special day in a place that was significant, so they chose the beautiful coastal town of Terrigal, NSW. Their ceremony was to be held on the beach with an intimate gathering of some of their closest friends and family. Adding to the coastal feel Sarah chose …
We first sat down with Glenn and Taryn a little over a month before their wedding day. They had their date set, their venue picked out and we were going to help them bring everything together on their big day. Having met in their early 20’s and adventured through 10 years of life together already, Glenn and Taryn knew each other better than anyone else and were excited to start their next chapter as husband and wife. Their day began …
After 1,237 days of waiting, Chad and Courtney were finally able to tie the knot at Squires Vineyard on Saturday 16th February 2022. We met Chad and Courtney in early 2019 to begin planning their wedding day. Of course, no one knew what was about to hit us early that following year, and with the announcement of Covid plans were immediately put on hold. After a long period of waiting and uncertainty a new date was booked, and this couple …
We hit it off with Min and Lisa right from day one. We could see their absolute adoration and commitment for one another the moment we began our first consultation meeting. They were kind, friendly, funny and in love, so naturally all we wanted was to join them on the journey to Mrs & Mrs! After an intimate first look between our brides and a photoshoot along the backroads of the Hunter Valley, we met them at the stunning White …
The moment we met high school sweethearts Gav and Steph, we knew they were special. Like so many before them, Gav and Steph had to postpone their special day due to COVID-19, but they didn’t let it take away from how special their moment would finally be.
When it comes to planning weddings, our biggest secret is personalisation. When you think back to the best wedding you’ve attended, what was it that made it so good? I can tell you the answer is more often than not going to come back to who the couple are and how they’ve injected their personality into their special day. And that’s exactly why Stefan and Kate’s big day was so perfect.
We met Josh and Emma at the beginning of 2019 with dreams of a September 2020 wedding. As with many couples in 2020, they had to make the difficult decision to postpone their special day, eventually settling on a November Saturday in 2021. And when the wedding day did finally roll around, Josh and Emma’s rustic boho wedding dreams came true.
Sometimes throughout the planning process, we have clients ask us to keep a secret from their partner to surprise them with a small gift, a letter or even fireworks. Never do we get asked to keep the entire wedding a secret, but that’s exactly what Paris did during our first meeting! Sometimes throughout the planning process, we have clients ask us to keep a secret from their partner to surprise them with a small gift, a letter or even fireworks. …
Nothing is on our couples minds as much as the weather in the lead up to the big day. Whether they’re checking their weather app every few hours, waiting for the forecast to come up on the six o’clock news or praying to the rain gods that everything will be sunshine and blue skies, it’s on everyone’s minds.
We first met Dani and Gerard in October of 2018. Their special day was set for August 2020, and they were so excited to officially become Mr and Mrs Healey after an incredible 10 years together. As we know by now, COVID-19 had other plans for them that meant we had to reschedule their beautiful day a total of twice for a total of three dates. By now we are experts at date changes, but it never gets easier watching …
A gloomy sky and a drizzle of rain can often be thought of as a Wedding Day Curse – but when it came to Lachie and Chels, they embraced the rain with a smile and an incredible photo shoot to boot. Scrolling through their galley, I can’t help but feel thrown right back to the moment they became husband and wife, and the afternoon they spent with eyes for no one but each other.
When we look back at our journey with Isacc and Michael, we can’t help but flash to their emotional ceremony sprawled across the grass of King Edward Park in front of the iconic rotunda. Isaac was a nervous wreck, and it only made the moment sweeter when he finally met Michael at the end of their aisle. Their first kiss was explosive and romantic in a way that encompassed every guest like the gentle breeze drifting across the garden.
June 2021 was such an amazing month, getting to celebrate the weddings of my first two wedding clients – the Priestley’s and the Fullers! Chris & Ashley Fuller were the very first couple to entrust me with their wedding day and after three years of planning together it’s fair to say I had a bit of a soft spot and the emotions were flowing.
The 5th of June 2021 was a very special day as I finally got to help my 2nd ever Wedding clients become Mr & Mrs Priestley after nearly 3 years of planning and re-planning! It’s been such a pleasure getting to know Tim & Bron over the years and seeing their little family finally get to celebrate becoming husband and wife was truly touching.
I have been working with the wonderful Adam & Sarah since 2019 to create their perfect moody boho wedding. When our brilliant Wedding Specialist, Charlotte, joined my team in 2020 I knew they were in very safe hands – I wouldn’t have had it any other way! Charlotte met with the McSeveneys for their Stage 3 planning meeting and they connected instantly.
While we navigate the tests of covid and its restrictions, it’s timely to look back on some of our beautiful couples who finally, after in some cases multiple postponements, made it to the altar. In April this year, we finally got to celebrate with and bring to life the wedding of Josh & Natalie, the new Mr & Mrs Grant!
It’s always a special moment bringing to life our couples’ weddings but even more so when it’s a couple we’ve been working with for years. Roxy & Greg first met with us back in 2019 with dreams of getting married in April 2020 here in the Hunter Valley and little more than the venue booked. They told us all about their beautiful and hilarious love story and we fell in love with them too!
We recently had the privilege of celebrating the marriage of another of our COVID impacted couples – Chris & Alex Walker. We first met the couple and their gorgeous little boys in 2019. The venue was set to be their friends’ private property deep in the forest of Freemans Waterhole, on a (hopefully) beautiful day in April 2020.
There’s nothing quite like getting to finally bring a wedding to life for our couples after they’ve had to deal with the grief and anguish of postponement. The wedding of highschool sweethearts Dylan & Bria after nearly two years of planning was no exception! Dylan & Bria came to us mid 2019 with their hearts set on becoming Mr & Mrs Moore in May 2020, with a fair few suppliers booked in.
On the 28th of March we returned to the picturesque Peterson House for the beautiful wedding of Leigh & Becky Brown. Their original plan was a tropical wedding in Fiji which had to be postponed due to COVID-19, like so many peoples’ plans. They decided that rather than wait indefinitely to tie the knot overseas, they would celebrate right here in the Hunter Valley, which is where Hunter Events came in.
Deep in the rolling green hills of Dungog Shire is a gorgeous locality called Underbank. The picturesque country charm leant itself perfectly to the vision of Adam & Jaide’s unique wedding day. When we met Mr & Mrs Silvio-to-be in April 2020, we knew this one was going to be something very special. The love between them was obvious from the moment we met them.
We first met the wonderful Phil and Lauren Dann back in 2019 with nothing booked in, dreaming of a gorgeous October 2020 wedding. Meeting them was such a joy and they soon became close friends of ours. I often spent hours on the phone just chatting, from learning all about their love story to helping guide them the perfect venue.
Where do we start with the epic, cultural extravaganza that was the Hoyek Wedding?! The gorgeous Mike & Nat came to us in December 2020 just looking for help with On Day Coordination. Nearly all suppliers had been booked and their dream location, Peterson House, secured for March 2021. We immediately connected with the lively young couple and knew bringing their dream wedding to life would be a blast!
Ben & Jenna came to us late in their planning, with their date set, venue booked and most suppliers engaged. They needed our help to bring the vision together and to allow them to just relax and enjoy their day, which it was an absolute pleasure to do for this gorgeous couple. Along the way a few suppliers needed to be changed and we happily lent a hand to connect them with the perfect replacements.
