After 1,237 days of waiting, Chad and Courtney were finally able to tie the knot at Squires Vineyard on Saturday 16th February 2022.
We met Chad and Courtney in early 2019 to begin planning their wedding day. Of course, no one knew what was about to hit us early that following year, and with the announcement of Covid plans were immediately put on hold. After a long period of waiting and uncertainty a new date was booked, and this couple couldn’t have been more excited for their day to arrive!
With Courtney an interior designer she loved planning and contributing to the styling of their wedding from the get-go. While she was heavily involved in the styling, she was still happily surprised at how everything came together on the day.
Courtney looked stunning as she arrived wearing a beautiful and unique bodysuit from Sweet Caroline Styles, a blush pink skirt and pink sparkly shoes. Waiting under a spotted gumtree for his blushing bride was Chad, looking super classy in his royal blue suit from Connor. As he stood at the top of the aisle he danced in time with the song, calming his nerves about their big day as Courtney began her walk to a beautiful acoustic version of “you’re the one that I want” (Grease).
There were so many personal touches and sentiments thoughtfully woven into their day. The intimate touches being the most loved with the couple choosing to use the pages of the Harry Potter novels as cone holders for confetti, even naming a cocktail after their dog Lola. The speeches throughout the night were exceptionally personal, speaking to the heart of each individual, and as Chad concluded perfectly ‘may we never laugh at each other’s choices because we chose each other’. Later that night the couple got to let it all out on the dance floor with their guests to their favourite 80’s music, including the likes of ‘Queen’, ‘Elton John’ and songs from the film Tangled. Let’s just say, it was a party!
The stunning moments from their day were captured beautifully by photographer Darren Wigley who specializes in wedding and event photography. Smoke bombs were let off by the water at sunset as the coordinator ran around with them allowing Darren to capture the best photos possible. Videographers Cory and Sam Sanderson were also a big part of the day, capturing those memories the couple will keep for a lifetime.
Chad & Courtney brought so much life and joy to their wedding day making it truly memorable. We wish all the joy in world to this wonderful couple.
