We first sat down with Glenn and Taryn a little over a month before their wedding day. They had their date set, their venue picked out and we were going to help them bring everything together on their big day. Having met in their early 20’s and adventured through 10 years of life together already, Glenn and Taryn knew each other better than anyone else and were excited to start their next chapter as husband and wife.
Their day began in the beautiful Hunter Valley as the bride and bridal party got ready. A golf buggy brought them over to the ceremony location dropping them off 50 meters before so she wasn’t seen, ready to make the long walk to the alter. Glenn stood at the top of the isle which was atop of the stunning waterfall at The Hunter Valley Gardens waiting for his beautiful bride to meet him. During Glenn’s vows he spoke of their love journey as well as all those home renovating shows which they loved to watch together. Both the bride and the groom shared a few tears, sealing the special moment with a passionate kiss.
Whilst their wedding day continued, what Glenn didn’t know was that Taryn had organised to surprise him with fireworks at the end of the night! During the romantic sunset photos after the ceremony, Louise our event coordinator saw that Kaboom Fireworks had begun to setup already and had to hurry things along to make sure the secret didn’t get out before it was time. Louise also had the job of wrapping two big trees in hundreds of fairy lights to give the reception location an extra something special.
Once all this had taken place an amazing royal blue vintage Reo delivered the bridal party their classy reception at Leogate Estate. The speeches were a highlight of the night. Taryn’s mum thoughtfully touched on the passing of the bride’s dad, and the emotional significance of the moment was felt by the entire room. Glenn’s best man was hilarious speaking about how Glen hadn’t wanted to settle down, but now “finally has” and Glenn thanking Taryn for saying “I Do” otherwise his speech would have been quite awkward!
To conclude their big day, later that night Louise gathered everyone outside for a “nighttime photograph” when the fireworks were set off surprising Glenn and all their guests. He was completely caught off guard but completely amazed at the same time. The surprise was a bit touch and go throughout the night, but it ended up being such a magical moment that the couple shared on their wedding day.
There were so many wonderful moments shared by Glenn and Taryn. They looked so comfortable and close in their relationship with each other and most importantly, deeply in love. We wish you both the very best and are so thankful to have been a part of this significant milestone in your lives.
