O’Hara-Sanderson Wedding

When we look back at our journey with Isacc and Michael, we can’t help but flash to their emotional ceremony sprawled across the grass of King Edward Park in front of the iconic rotunda. Isaac was a nervous wreck, and it only made the moment sweeter when he finally met Michael at the end of their aisle. Their first kiss was explosive and romantic in a way that encompassed every guest like the gentle breeze drifting across the garden.

The week before the wedding, Isacc snuck us a cheeky little gift for Michael for us to deliver on the morning of the big day – matching His & His socks for good luck to prepare him for their next (and greatest) adventure. It was clear over our meetings with the couple they were beyond devoted to each other, and we found ourselves reminded that those small details are as romantic as the perfect venue and the best cake you’ve ever tasted (although the cake is good too).

Accents of Australian natives seemed the perfect addition to an already classic location and there was no sacrifice spared as Noah & The Fox travelled to Armidale to collect some of them! The beautiful boutonnieres on the couple’s navy suits contrasted beautifully with their matching burgundy bowties. After a photoshoot wandering the stone-walled paths of their venue, the couple entered to a rowdy crowd full of cheers at their reception at Novotel Newcastle Beach. We saw both sides of the coin when Isacc’s mum attempted to make her speech but Isacc was so overcome with emotion he didn’t even want to hear what she had to say about him, contrasted by Sam (Michael’s brother) giving a performance that had the room in stitches. Our very own Louise kept the party going as MC with an iconic round of the Shoe Game, where our newlyweds scored eleven out of fifteen (probably the highest score I have ever seen!).

Organising a sparkler photoshoot with the bridal party was a new take on the modern send-offs we see these days and it was nothing but fun to coordinate. The images captured by Bedroom Studio are sure to be treasured by the couple as they are a real-life representation of joy and love. Michael and Isacc, it was nothing but a pleasure accompanying you as you transitioned from partners to husbands, we had so much fun creating a day that represented the love you share, and we wish you all the best as you begin 2022 as a married couple!
