June 2021 was such an amazing month, getting to celebrate the weddings of my first two wedding clients – the Priestley's and the Fullers! Chris & Ashley Fuller were the very first couple to entrust me with their wedding day and after three years of planning together it’s fair to say I had a bit of a soft spot and the emotions were flowing.
What a wonderful wedding journey it was, being there with them every step of the way to guide them and find the perfect vendors & special touches for their big day. Even with the challenges of COVID-19 and postponements, this vibrant and loving couple were always a pleasure to talk to chat to and work with. Not even the weather couldn’t dampen the Fullers’ day, with the ceremony needing to be relocated inside to Lovedale Chapel instead of the grounds due to freezing rain and wind.
A lot can happen in three years, including the arrival of their gorgeous little boy Joey! At just one year old, he stole the show on the day and looked absolutely adorable in his tiny suit. He was quite the match for his stunning Mum Ashley, looking every bit the princess in her romantic blush gown, and dapper Dad Chris dressed to the nines in a white jacket & bow tie. Ashley walked down the aisle to The Circle Of Life from The Lion King to her anxiously waiting prince. They incorporated Joey’s naming day into their ceremony and one mid-ceremony toddler tantrum and a quick Bluey song later, he was happily grooving to the music with his Mum & Dad as they left the chapel as Mr & Mrs Fuller.
The weather held out long enough for the newlyweds to get some beautiful photos on the rustic grounds of Lovedale Chapel before re-joining their loved ones for the reception. They made their grand entrance and everyone was ready for a fun night of dancing and laughter. Inside, the reception space was twinkling with fairy lights amidst soft greenery, the perfect setting to feast and dance the night away to a live band. You could feel the love in the room as loved ones shared heartfelt speeches and stories about the newlyweds. Never one to be left out, Joey’s naming day continued at the reception, with his Godparents helping to cut the wedding cake. Little Joey was more than happy to get involved (eat the cake), while his parents shared a very sweet moment feeding it to each other.
