A perfect Spring day in the Hunter Valley set the scene for the timeless wedding of Nathan & Natasha Clagnan at Peterson House - #eequalncsquared!
We met Mr & Mrs Clagnan-to-be late in their Hunter Valley wedding planning process when they had already booked most of the elements themselves. What they hadn’t anticipated (and what none of us could have) was COVID-19 throwing a massive spanner in the works as it has for so many couples. We helped them adjust their plans and booked in the final touches they needed to bring their vision to life, including hiring in a marquee from The Party Hire Co. to compliment the permanent one at Peterson House and allow for social distancing.
As guests arrived they entered the beautiful chapel at Peterson House to the soft acoustic melody of Red Soda Band and found their socially distanced seats. The arbour at the end of the chapel was draped in soft rose chiffon, with a gorgeous explosion of seasonal blooms created by Hunter Valley Bouquets. The Groom and his dashing Groomsmen were dressed to the nines in suits from Peter Jackson.
At the right moment we opened the doors to the Chapel and the first down the aisle was an absolutely adorable Page Boy, excitedly riding in a mini motorised Hummer (safely remote controlled by his Dad) with ‘CLAGNAN’ numberplates. Next followed the Bridal Party, looking absolutely stunning in dusty pink floor-length gowns. We closed the Chapel doors behind them and the anticipation grew as guests tried to sneak a peak of Tash through the Chapel windows. A tender “are you ready?” from Dad and it was time.
The moment the Chapel doors opened for Tash’s grand entrance, Nathan was wiping away tears at the sight of his stunning Bride. It wasn’t hard to understand why - Tash was absolutely glowing in her gown from Amarige Bridal Couture, makeup by JM Makeup and a classic updo from Bridal Hair Culture and of course her cowgirl boots peaking out from under the dress.
Guided by the wonderful Deacon Lawrence Caelli, the couple exchanged vows and rings from Tiffany & Co. and EMBR. Guests showered the couple with delicate rose petals as they left the Chapel, read to start their new lives as Mr & Mrs Clagnan. Every special moment was captured for the couple to remember forever with expert photography from Photography on Hermitage and videography from Hunter Valley Video.
With the ceremony wrapped up, all that was left to do was enjoy the evening and enjoy it they did! Plenty of surprises were in store for both guests and the newlyweds. The Maid of Honour left them in awe with a book she made all about Nathan & Tash’s Love Story. It really was the time of their lives and they celebrated it with a spectacular moment – as Red Soda Band played ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life’, Tash took a huge leap of faith and her Bridal Party caught her in true Dirty Dancing Style. As always, the cake from Sweets by Tash was a real crowd-pleaser.
We absolutely loved bringing the Clagnans’ special day to life and helping them navigate the difficulties that COVID-19 brought. Nathan and Tash, thank you so much for entrusting us with planning your wedding and making sure everything ran perfectly on the day. We wish you all of the happiness in the world and can’t wait to see what your future holds together.
