In a world bustling with seven billion people, the chance of two hearts finding each other might seem tiny. Yet, destiny had other plans for Sarah and Kane. Their story began at a car meet, where their shared passion for cars drew them together. Sarah was captivated by a Mazda Ute, and as she approached, she met Kane in the driver’s seat. That moment sparked a deep connection, leading to eight wonderful years together.

Their love story reached a pivotal moment when Kane decided to propose. He sought the blessings of Sarah’s parents before getting down on one knee at Catherine Hill Bay, a day that eventually brought them to Hunter Events, where they found support for their wedding preparations.

“I personally hired a wedding planner as I felt like I had no idea, but soon after being with Hunter Events, I realized all I needed was someone to talk about the wedding, and if I needed an extra hand, Hunter Events was always there. Hunter Events was a massive support network for venue finding, cake finding, and recommendations for DJs, and my goodness, they had all the information.”

Sarah and Kane’s wedding, held in August 2023, was a beautiful blend of modern and contemporary themes with rustic, minimalistic, and boho elements. The Peterson House Chapel served as the perfect backdrop, with its handcrafted timber trusses and sandstone blocks adding to the charm. Their adorable border collie stole the show, running down the aisle to shower them with cuddles and kisses.

The ceremony featured a stunning white arbour adorned with pure white flowers and green accents. Sarah looked radiant in her ivory wedding dress, while Kane looked dashing in a classic cream suit. The bridal party complemented the theme with sophisticated black and white attire.

The reception was a cheerful affair, filled with excitement as Sarah and Kane entered, introduced for the first time as Husband & Wife. They cut their decadent, rose-covered wedding cake and shared their first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Donaldson, symbolizing their unity. Their first dance was an endearing and memorable moment, highlighting the beginning of their journey together.

Sarah and Kane’s love story serves as a reminder that amidst the vastness of the world, love has a way of bringing souls together. May their journey continue to be as beautiful as the day they shared with us.
