One of our favourite parts of our job is hearing couples vision for their big day – Amber and Shannon’s brief matched their personalities perfectly. Vibrant, colourful and full of joy! Everything was a rainbow of colours, from the bridesmaids dresses to the bouquet, the table decorations to the tiers on the cakes. This bright and happy colour scheme set the tone for the entire wedding.
Amber was so overjoyed throughout the day, she had the joy spilling from her eyes, well before the ceremony started! With so much love in her heart we’re not surprised there were some emotional moments for the beautiful bride as well as the special people in her life. During the morning’s preparations, Shannon her groom shared a special moment with her son Tyson as they opened his page boy gift and read the most heartfelt letter from her together. Before the ceremony Amber shared an incredibly special moment with her step daughters, reminding them that in addition to their mum and dad, they can always count on her to be there for them just as she had written in her letter to her step son Tyson.
Amber arrived at the ceremony and was the picture of elegance with lace dress with long veil, dress train and stunning tiara – the look was completed with dazzling sparkled shoes. The Mahoney ceremony was filled with incredibly sweet moments, from Ambers Mum and sister carrying the flower girl down the aisle – to the bride and grooms vows where they reminded each other how much they loved one another – and each other’s butts. After the ceremony, the photographer captured stunning shots of the newly weds on a moody beach, the exact spot where Shannon had asked Amber to marry him.
The newlyweds arrived to the reception absolutely beaming. Amber rocked a custom bejewelled denim jacket with Mrs Mahoney across the back and pink heart shaped sunnies – the celebrations were about to kick it up a notch! Guests were treated to a six tier rainbow cake and surprise performance from Amber when she serenaded Shannon with a version of Megan Trainers ‘Dear Future Husband” – appropriately changed to dear awesome husband. Everyone present felt they got to know the couple even better throughout the speeches with love filled stories of these two beautiful people. Ambers parents both shared touching poems during their speeches.
The couple shared an intimate first dance, soaking in every moment before transitioning the dancefloor with rainbow glowsticks and guests busting moves out until the end of the night.
With such an incredible start to their marriage we are sure this fun loving, bold and vibrant couple will spend the rest of their lives creating magical memories with their loved ones. Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Mahoney.
