When it comes to planning weddings, our biggest secret is personalisation. When you think back to the best wedding you’ve attended, what was it that made it so good? I can tell you the answer is more often than not going to come back to who the couple are and how they’ve injected their personality into their special day. And that’s exactly why Stefan and Kate’s big day was so perfect.
We met Stefan and Kate in January of 2020 and set out to plan for an October wedding date. However, I’m sure we all know by now that we weren’t able to do much before COVID inevitably shut down the industry. But after almost exactly two years to the day, the sun came up on January 22nd, 2022, the date Stefan and Kate would become Mr and Mrs Bossio.
Kate’s hair cascaded down the back of her gorgeous dress in curly waves, draped in a stunning full-length veil. As she began her walk down the aisle, arm in arm with her dad, she took our breath away (and we weren’t the only ones). Butterflies were spotted flying around as Wed by Steph officiated their intimate ceremony. After a quick round of Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide who was reading their vows first, Stefan and Kate took each other as husband and wife by proclaiming ‘Always’ instead of a traditional ‘I Do’; an ode to Harry Potter and their everlasting love.
After an incredibly fun bridal party shoot, the newlyweds snapped some couple photos amongst the vines of Leogate Estate. ‘At Last,’ became their bride and groom entry song, to which the MC introduced them as “At last…Mr and Mrs Bossio” and we were overcome with joy that such a beautiful couple were finally having their moment after being put on hold for so long.
During speeches, Kate’s father Darryl had the room in absolute stitches, only to be outshone by an incredible choreographed first dance that included not just a dip but also a lift! And who could forget the moment the MC didn’t know what a garter toss was and caught it by accident?
It’s these small injections of personality that truly make your wedding day special. We wish a world of joy to Stefan and Kate as they begin their next chapter.
