Sunday the 21st of February 2021 marked the second annual Wedding & Wine Festival and wow, what a day! From wine tastings and doggie tours, to bridal gowns and bull rides, this festival was jam packed with nothing but excitement and fun.
Guests were lining up from 9:15am, a full 45minutes before doors opened. As the queue formed around the back of Dalwood Estate, over 100 vendors, exhibitors and entertainers finished the final touches on their stalls. At 10am, the (metaphorical) doors opened and excited guests filled the festival grounds, all receiving complementary Wedding & Wine Festival tumblers and tasting vouchers. Lucky brides-to-be rummaged through their gift bags while grooms could be found sizing up the mechanical bull ride.
With painting classes, flower crown workshops and plenty of alcohol tastings, there really was something for everyone. The main stage played host to bands, make up tutorials, bridal runways, pairings, cake decorating demos and a cocktail master class. The horse and carriage rides were a hit, as were the face painting and photobooths. Couples browsed their way through wedding exhibitors and got a taste of everything… including cakes and canapes!
As the day wrapped up, we finished strong with our Charity Raffle. With all proceeds going to our charity partner, The Royal Institute for Death and Blind Children, many lucky attendees left with a good conscience and heavy gift bag. The Hunter Events Wedding & Wine Festival has collectively raised over $5,000 for RIDBC and we are extremely grateful to all of our amazing vendors who donated prizes.
The 2021 Wedding & Wine Festival was wonderful. We cannot begin to express how happy and proud we are of this huge success. The Hunter Events Team would like to say a massive thank you to our venue host, sponsors, vendors, entertainers and guests for making this event a day to remember.
